Unlock your inner creativity and connect with nature and yourself, through the blissful art of floral design. A harmonious fusion of flower therapy and flower arranging. Discover the therapeutic energy of nature and sustainable floristry techniques, season by season, with our guidance. “Spring is a time to find delight in simple pleasures and rejoice in the beauty of nature.” – Unknown Learn the following: Understanding of seasonal availability Working to seasonal theme with appropriate colours, styles and flowers How to prepare and care for flowers Practical knowledge of how to arrange flowers, using professional floristry techniques Developing an understanding of floral design Energetic and healing properties of nature, practices you can do at home Sustainability in nature and minimising waste Experimenting with the natural resources around you Course Outline – Spring Each class will run for 2hrs. You will learn the following 6 designs over 6 fortnights (order may be subject to change) Design 1. Floral Teacup – Friday 20th Sept In honour of the Spring Equinox and our first class, we will start with a warm cup of tea and finish with a unique floral design. Design 2. Basket of Blooms – Friday 4th Oct School holiday special! A sweet collection of florals and natural materials featured in this sustainable and re-useable design. Bring your child for free to this one! Design 3. Pretty Posy – Friday 18th Oct Our first attempt at creating a hand-tied design. Small in size, but big in heart. Featuring fresh fragrant flowers for Spring. Design 4. Floral Headpiece – Friday 1st Nov In light of Melbourne Cup Day, we will have a celebration and create a floral headpiece from fresh and dried blooms. Week 5. Eco Design – 15th Nov Explore a colourful, natural and eco-friendly design in a sustainable pot. Week 6. Christmas Wreath – 29th Nov To celebrate our last design and with Christmas just around the corner, its time to get creative with a Christmas inspired wreath! Made from sustainable and dried materials, ready to hang on your door to welcome joy into your home. $60 per person per class (10% off full course bookings) *All flowers, tools and materials included. Alternatively, if you prefer to purchase your own flowers or fancy yourself a bit of a forager, pay $30 per person per class BYO flowers (10% off full course bookings) *Tools and materials only included.
